Dimensions Weight Chat is an ancillary feature of Dimensions Online. It exists for the purpose of providing a venue online for BBWs, SSBBWs, FAs, BHMs, and FFAs to congregate free from harassment, whether that be from outsiders or fellow chatters. Courtesy and mutual respect for others are expected from all participants This site is public only in the sense that all are welcome to participate provided they abide by the following code of conduct as outlined by the owner. Failure to comply may result in being kicked or banned from the room with no explanation, although chatters have the right to appeal to the owner for reinstatement of chatting privileges.

Code of Conduct

• The main "BBW/FA" chat room is designated for general discussion of size-related topics and for socializing of Dimensions site visitors. All users are encouraged to voice their opinion on any socially acceptable topic, provided that such discussion does not cause a disruption or break in the general flow of ongoing chat. We expect chatters to be polite and observe the general rules of social interaction. Rudeness and personal attacks are not tolerated.

• Other rooms are designed for specific purpose as implied by their name, i. e."BHM/FFA Chat" is for Big Handsome Men and their Admirers, "Fat and Gaining" is for those who enjoy being fat or gaining weight, "Feeders and Feedees" is for the discussion of that fantasy or lifestyle, and so on. If upon entering Weight Chat you find no one in a room whose topic is of interest to you, it is acceptable to make REASONABLE and POLITE inquiry in the general discussion room. At that time you can determine if there are other chatters present who are interested in accompanying you to one of these rooms for further discussion. If at that time you meet with no response, you are free to either engage in general discussion or to return at a later time. Continued harassment or annoyance of other chatters whether publicly or in private via Private Messages is unacceptable. Chatters are encouraged to make use of the ignore feature found under Options. Instructions are located in the Help menu.

• Dimensions is a size-positive site and as such promotion and soliciting of dieting, weight-loss, and, especially, weight loss surgery are inappropriate. However, we understand that large size can pose issues and problems, and constructive discussion of how to handle such issues is within the Dimensions charter.

• Threats or insinuation of physical violence is completely unacceptable and grounds for immediate and permanent dismissal.

• While anonymous screen handles are acceptable, chatters who use actual names are expected to be who they represent themselves to be. Use of others' names or images with the intent of deception is unacceptable.

• Coming to this room to simply proposition every female via PM, and trying to lure them away into some IM will quickly get you a bad rap and also expelled.

• Chatters may contact other chatters via Private Messages. However, requests by a person NOT to be contacted must strictly be observed. Failure to do so may result in being expelled from the Chat System. Public re-posting to the room of private messages is not allowed. If a Private Message is considered inappropriate, forward it to an op instead.

• Respect for other chatters should be observed at all times! If someone contacts you via PM and that contact is unwelcome, ask them politely and privately to discontinue. Continuation is a direct violation of the Code of Conduct and should be reported immediately to the Ops. Publicly chastising someone for attempting to contact you via PM is disruptive to the flow of conversation and disrespectful to the unwitting party.

• Pretending to be a person of the other gender with the intent to deceive is considered unacceptable behavior.

• Intensive "grilling" of any chatter is discouraged. All new chatters should be presumed sincere until proven otherwise. If you suspect a chatter is not whom they claim to be or otherwise in violation of any of this Code of Conduct, report them to an Op who will then investigate and take proper action.

• Posting of images or information (including profiles information) originating in Dimensions Chat elsewhere is not allowed.

• Socially unacceptable discriminatory statements and language are not allowed.

• Chatters are expected to exercise caution with regard to disclosure of personal information. Do not give out publicly or privately information about yourself or others that may have legal ramifications or that would endanger the well being of yourself or others.

• Chatting is limited to persons age 18 and over. No exceptions.

• Attempting to disrupt the layout or navigability of the chat through any means is unacceptable.

• Public chat of a sexual and sexually explicit nature is not prohibited, although common decency is expected. However, chatters who venture into public sexual discussion that is found to be offensive to a sizable number of chatters present will be called upon to take such further discussion private, whether in private posts or into a private chatroom. Instructions for creating a private chatroom are found in the Help menu. Failure to do so may result in being expelled from the Chat System.

• Images are a fun part of the Dimensions Chat system. Images that are mildly risquee and enticing are acceptable, although those more graphic in nature are not. Weight Chat is a venue where we are free to admire and celebrate the larger form in all its variations, but display of genitalia or the commonly understood term of "pink" is unacceptable. Beauty even within the size acceptance community is subjective, so please keep your personal distastes to yourself as long as an image displayed is within acceptable norms. Reports any perceived violations to Chat Ops, who will then make a judgment as to acceptability.

• Images serve to show other chatters what you look like. They are NOT to be used for political or philosophical messages of any kind. Violations will result in the loss of image posting privileges.

• Images must not contain URLs to paysites. Likewise, profiles must not contain links to paysites.

• All images displayed in the sidebars are considered the property of the posters or of Dimensions. Reposting of such pics elsewhere by persons other than their owners will be considered a copyright infringement. Any such infringement will be reported to the ISPs where such images appear. In addition, anyone violating this policiy will be banned from the entire Dimensions site.

• Advertising or solicitation for endeavors with which a chatter has a personal and financial investment, whether verbally or through images or links, is unacceptable and grounds for immediate and permanent loss of chatting priviledges.
